Default Preflop shove or eval after flop? Hand from Legends

First post here...I've met a lot of you and lurked for a while, time for me to finally throw my hat into the ring.

100-200/25 level at the Legends yesterday and I'm pgetting pretty short stacked (7000 in chips to start the hand). It's our BB and Sebok opens from the three hole for 700 (he's been opening a lot of pots from early position as always)and gets three callers. We look down in the BB at pocket 10s.

Is this a good spot to shove pre or should we simply call and wait until the flop to make a more informed decision?

Thanks for the help.
Al

so there is about 3300 in the pot when it gets to us...and we have 7000 (35bb's)...I would say this is a call and see if we hit a set...I think with 35bb's you are better off waiting for a much better situation...shoving would be spewy in my opinion, especially against 4 players...of course knowing their stack sizes would help....

Shoving is profitable, but so is calling. Calling is very profitable.

over 3k in the pot though. As long as no nits are involved that are extremely likely to have JJ or QQ, I would shove.

One less caller and I would just call with your stack. It's fairly close.

The only one I was worried about pre flop was the original raiser. I figured I'd be pretty far ahead of the ranges of the other players and at worst in a race situation.

I just find it hard to shove over 4 players with 35 bbs...but I can see where it can be profitable...I dont think shoving is bad...I would just prefer a better spot with that stack...if you had 5k it gets easier as you are getting almost 2-1 even if called...

Given that:

1) A pot sized raise is more than 1/2 your stack
2) You hate most flops, especially with 4 others in
3) You probably have best hand right now
4) some lower pocket pairs are in the calling range of some of the players
5) Taking it down PF adds 50% to your stack

It shouldn't be that hard.
