But mainly I think I am ahead at this point so I am trying to protect my hand. If I knew he had AK, is trying to take the pot down on the flop never a good strategy? |

if he checks you check most of the time. if its a J-A you need to decide if he's aggro enough to bluff-shove the scare-card. Most often at 100NL they aren't until proven otherwise. Prob folding most turns if he continues betting. if turn checks through, evaluate river based on action/board.

Noone is going to tell you the perfect way to play this, when you have TT/JJ on this board it's just difficult you have to play some poker. |

Some nights I actually have a similar thought process [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I'm new to cash games so it's far from automatic at this point though. |
