Default river bluffshove

5/10 6m party

some fish with $1400 (no reads apart from that he is loose) opencompletes his SB. i raise A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to $40. he calls. i cover btw

flop is 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], he checkcalls $60.

turn is K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], he checkcals $150.

river is A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], he leads $200, i shove. $600 for him to call.

i hate this passionately

and btw wtf 600 for him to call? w/ 1400 eff stacks, 40 + 60 + 150 + 200 = 350, if stacks are 1400 then a river push is 1050 to call

I think this could work but i don't really like it though.

You can interpret his river bet as a value bet with a hand like QTo, QJo with a club or as a blocker that tries to get to showdown cheap with a 2-pairish hand like KQ, AQ or something (you say he's a fish so i think these hands are in his range, i see ppl butcher hands so badly on PP).

btw do you play the Jc like this?

I'm really not sure what his hand looks like.....so i'm not sure. These are just my thoughts, from now on i will start to post more strategy. I find writing coherent strategy posts is hard and i realize it's a learning process. I'm a long term winner at mid stakes though so i should be able to contribute some in the future.
