Default Am I showing down too much?

My went to showdown is 41.9 and my won $ at showdown is 48.2, overall winrate is 1.75bb/100, this is mostly at 1/2.

In another post Oink (whose opinion I respect very much) says that badger might have a leak of going to showdown too much and he is only at 38.5%.

I live by the gospel that Ed miller put forth in his post , "why are you not crushing the micro limits", which said basically if the pot is big and you have a chance to win don't fold.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that if your went to showdown times your won at showdown are greater than 20, you are doing ok.

At 1-2 what is the optimal went to showdown?

Coupled with the w$@sd your wtsd looks too high, but you are winning. How many hands is this over? FWIW I was only about 33% wtsd when I played 1/2, but I don't know if the games have changed much.

This is over 160,000 hands. I think the games are more aggressive now, with more bluffing, then they were a year ago.

I don't think this is optimal for 1/2 unless you play a great deal of 3-4handed.

no, very little 3-4 handed, I filtered for 5+ and stats changed very little...I think I am showing down a little too much, I probably make too many crying calls on the river. My fold to a river bet is 28%.

One of my problems is when I play against a LAG, I never give them credit for a hand...and will call down with A high. They will raise a 68s and bet to the river on a draw, reraising if I bet into them.

At 1/2 your WtSD should be pretty high because it's going to be harder to put people on hands. Maybe a LITTLE lower.

People probably focus a bit too much on river calls when they talk about WtSD. That's part of it, but I think a lot of the difference in WtSD among winning players is flop peels and level of aggression causing the opponent to fold. When there are two different winning players with way different WtSD numbers, I would think this accounts for a lot of the difference.

Conversely the fish at 1/2 who won't fold are increasing your WtSD.

In a vacuum, it's tough to say. There are other things you are doing which may or may not making showing down that much appropriate.

I run similar numbers (40.5/51) between 3-6 and 10/20 at 1+bb/100 (no exact numbers because I lost my pre-july stats)
