10/20 Turn Decision
Generally loose passive 10/20 game, with one player on my right who is very LAG in steal position but otherwise solid
All fold to him and he raises on the button, I 3bet w/ AhTh, BB folds Flop is 10c8h3d, I bet he calls Turn is 4s, I bet, he raises.... My history with villain is pretty nill, w/ exception to recognizing his overzealous blind steal attempts. I haven't played many pots while he has been at the table.

I almost thought "3 bet" because his hands with a T in them greatly outnumber his sets, but then I remembered that getting 4 bet by 2 pair sucks because we will often be folding live outs.
I like just calling the turn, and check-calling the river. Yeah, I know people like to bet/fold, and it's often good, but in this spot, it's better to get value out of his missed draws (97,J9) and a lot of his tens are betting after you check. Hell, he might even come at you for value with A8. If the river is an ace, bet/call. If it's a ten, then bet/3bet/call cap. Every other card is check/call methinks. edit: what are your thoughts on C/Ring the turn? super edit:I'd bet/fold a jack on this river

I wouldn't fold just yet. Villain is probably trying get back the role of the aggressor. Your decision now is whether to get it back or to just call Villain down. Me being chicken, would do the latter, definetly the 7-1 odds on turn and 9-1 odds on the river are there to call down TPTK.

I'm leaning towards 3-bet because this feels sort of like JT/QT/KT to me... then again if he's really LAG preflop then he could definitely have T4s or something. Also, is this live or online? I'd be more likely to 3-bet if it's online.

You've got top pair top kicker heads-up with a raggedy board, 3-bet (if you think he will fold) or call (if you would fold to a 4-bet). On the river, bet out if you improve or there is no straight or overcards. You really need to try to show this one down.

My thought process was that if he actually had me in bad shape preflop with a bigger ace, or if he was drawing live with KQ or KJ I would hate to give him a free card because he most likely would check behind me but would likely still call a bet with most turn cards (or raise!). At the time, I was putting him on this type of hand or 99, 77, or even 66. As for the bet/folding a Jack on the river I was considering doing the same for a king or queen, but perhaps ck/call is better for K or Q river.
