Default RULE CHECK....

Hey guys,

was playing in a £10 live tourny tonight...

81 runners ended up 16th... but...

I was 10,000 in chips had lost 3,000 in blinds...

Moved to another table and had to face the Big Blind again - is that the correct ruling or ????

Also off topic think I need to change gears towards the bubble was playing too tight next time gadget

Thanks for insight

good luck at the tables

I believe the "official" rule usually cited is that the person who has to move is the person who would NEXT be Big Blind... and he should move to the other table into the first open seat in front of the Big Blind. So it's possible you could hit BB twice in a row moving tables, but usually you'll get a "reprieve" of a couple hands.

I don't always see places enforce this, though. Some card rooms around here seem to just pick a guy, and a new seat, according to the whims of the director.

I also run tourneys, and the rule I use is: player that would be the NEXT big blind moves, but moves to the latest open seat at the new table. This kind of offsets the hassle of having to move seats, and switch to a table where you don't know anyone - you get several "free" hands before you are the blind again.

Not typical, but some places just pick somebody and move them.

In my games I try to move a player in similiar position compared to the bb. Eg. open seat is next up for BB so I'd move a player from a table due to take the bb next hand.

Similiar to what PAytosee suggested above
