16 AK ICM Decision
Button has been making large raises like this rather than shoving and has been playing very loose and aggressive from the start of the sng. SB seems to be playing a solid STT game, very tight early and has been pushbotting since level 5.

Re: 16 AK ICM Decision
call and see if you can't get the BS to check down with you. if I had a made hand, I'd push over.

Re: 16 AK ICM Decision
Usually I would call in these types of spots but the button doesn't seem like he knows good sng strategy and would probably either shove me in or fold, most likely shove.

Re: 16 AK ICM Decision
I have no ICM calcs or anything due to a fried PC but I would repush here. Calling is absolutely horrible due to the odds you will give button to see a flop. I fear folding might be the proper mathmatical play though.

Lots of villains will. its most important here to get the shortie out. If you think you can see 5 cards and you can let the BS see them too, that's the best way to kick shortie to the side of the road. remember, he has to beat both of you then. |

Re: 16 AK ICM Decision
Is this bad that I ship this in? I figure villain has nothing, and part of shorties range is Aces I have dominated. I might even get villain to fold and be heads up with tons of dead money, likely ahead of shortie's range. Problem is you never know if big stack will check it down. Sometimes the guy I think will check it down will bet me out of the pot with npnd.

Re: 16 AK ICM Decision
Calling and hoping for a check down is incredibly weak. I think it is extremely unlikely to get a free showdown against a loose/aggressive opponent.
We should be trying to get heads up in a big pot with lots of dead money or get both of them all in to the river. |
