Default PokerEV graph, the heck does this mean?



just an explanation would be nice, sorry if this is the wrong spot but its all 50-100NL so i figured i'd give it a shot

I don't really understand these graphs, except that in situations when you've got all your money in and there have still been cards to come you should have won ~$3,600 (that is, if the expected value of those situations were realised exactly), but you have actually won ~4,400 in those spots.

There's a lot more to running good than just that, but it is a good start.

means you're winning more showdowns than you should be (running well).

also you're probably playing a little less than optimal in some spots postflop i guess? i think that's what it means when your green line is lower than the other 2. just that you could be winning more.

thanks, this is what i was looking for. so im prob being a bit too nitty with my folds on the flop and later? something like that?

Dunno what the green means [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Red is what you'd make running totally even, neither hot nor cold. Blue is what you actually made. So, either you luckboxes some bad beats on folks, or your good hands are holding up more often than they should. Either way you're running well.

it's possible...i dunno. i don't want to give you the wrong info, i've just seen graphs where the total winnings is even with or above the sklanskybucks/actualwinnings lines. i assume that means the people just play really well and make extra money somehow.
