Re: JJ Facing Raise and All-in Re-raise
I guess folding is okay, but you can make the case for calling and 4-betting as well. If you had QQ it would be an easy 4-bet.

Re: JJ Facing Raise and All-in Re-raise
Early in a $2 MTT this is an easy shove. People get into raising wars with medium PP and weak aces all the time in those super donkfests.

I'd shove...you're ahead most of an average $2 MTT player's raising range even utg

Re: JJ Facing Raise and All-in Re-raise
The reraise all in is from a short stack. He's most likely a fish so I'm not too concerned about him. His range is pretty wide.
I like a preflop shove here to possibly isolate MP3 and if UTG calls there's only 3 hands out his range you're in bad shape against. Any read on how UTG got his big stack early? |

Re: JJ Facing Raise and All-in Re-raise
Shove, shove, shove!
Barring any reads, I'd assume an UTG big-stack to have a pretty wide opening-range. Short-stack MP3 is pushing a wide range too, so shoving to isolate must be the best play by far. |

Re: JJ Facing Raise and All-in Re-raise
Really easy shove. I mean, SS is waiting for 88+; AJo; who knows what UTG's range is, but I doubt it's QQ+; AK. Plus, it's a $2 MTT, so you can be ahead here a wholes bunch. I have to take a poop.

Re: JJ Facing Raise and All-in Re-raise
When you shove you're shoving over 50BBs into UTG (who has you covered). That's a pretty high risk/reward. I know $2 tournaments are pretty soft, but unless you figure UTG is going to call with TT- some of the time I don't really like it. The bigger your shove, his calling range becomes more important than just his opening range.
Edit: If you had a stack of t1500 or so, then easy shove. |
