25 freezout
My stack is 15k(blinds 2000-1000 no antes)
I sit in MP2 and have A9o CU has 30k stack,button 4k,SB 5k, and BB 13k I shoved...and BB called.. Did my shove was OK or bad play? |

it's a good shove.
If everyone calls with top 15% hands, you'll get called 1 - (0.85^4) = 48% of the time. 52% of the time you win 3k in the blinds. When called, each case is a bit different because their stack sizes are so varied. But, CO: -1000 Button: +500 SB: -700 BB: -488 For an average of -422 chips when called. When everyone folds, you win 3,000 chips. 0.424*(-422) + 0.576*(3000) = +1363 chips. If people call wider than that, it can hurt your equity some, but I think 15% is a pretty good guess. I don't think any calling range exists that could make this a bad shove. If people call tighter it gets better, because you win the blinds more, which is really the goal here. -Stumpy |

Good shove. Your M is 5. Only 2 of the players to act can really hurt your stack. The short players are desperate to double up so they should be willing to gamble with a wide range which A9 is well ahead of.
