JJ near bubble in early position (Stars Daily 15K)
This was the daily afternoon $10+1 tournament with 10 minute levels at PokerStars.
There were 2081 entrants today and 225 got paid. There were about 275 left during this hand. I had been playing tight up to this point, and my opponent had been there for about 10 minutes, and seemed solid. I had recently doubled up after calling a UTG pusher that had open pushed preflop three hands in a row with QQ. The average stack was around 11K and I estimated about 10 minutes until the bubble broke, but my goal was to make it as far as I could. (400/800 with 50 antes) PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t800 (9 handed) MP2 (t4480) MP3 (t6586) CO (t16055) Button (t2310) SB (t18422) BB (t3135) UTG (t13580) UTG+1 (t12300) Hero (t17000) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to t2400, 2 folds, CO raises to t7200, 3 folds, Hero ???. Is this a clear fold? What range should I put my opponent on? |

man, though spot. I'd say 99+, AQs+, AK. I don't know how you fare against that range but this is a close call...

Re: JJ near bubble in early position (Stars Daily 15K)
I'm thinking this is a fold lately.
Here's a good thread that's a tad similar: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...part=1&vc=1 Factor in that we can expect these guys to call a helluva lot more preflop and OOP, with our stack, i think this is a fold. That said, stop n' go'ing is still hard for me to avoid here. |
