Default Dish with best ratio of easy to prepare : good to eat

it has to be something that you prepare- not something you take out of a box and throw in a microwave or conventional oven (e.g. hot dog, frozen pizza).

Cranberry sauce gets my vote. 1/2 c water, 1/2 sugar. mix, boil. add bag of frozen cranberries. bring back to slow boil, cook 10 m, stirring occsssionally. cool it off. serve.

Mexican lasagna,

9/13 pan using tortilla shells as the "noodles" and layering with meat/cheese/beans/enchilada sauce/tomatoes and whatever else you want. Bake.

There are steps and mixing and crap - that's difficult.

How about:

Steak
Smoked meats
Caprese Salad
Real Mac and Cheese
