Default 1/2 - Big draw (quote unquote)

MP is a big fish, something like 50/4, who's been limp/folding a lot. CO has been playing 30/25 or so and is obviously isolating MP lightly. I've 3bet him a few times and he's folded PF. I'm actually around 14/10 over 50 hands at this table, due to being card dead and not really in the mood to splash around with MP.

Gonna start on the flop but if you want to talk about preflop go ahead. Obviously a 3bet is fine here, and most of the time it's probably better since BB is aggressive and will be squeezing a lot. Like I said in the beginning though I had 3bet CO a few times and felt like taking a flop here.

I don't think you want to face a raise here and I don't think your TPNK is good. check through and hope to improve without the clubs hitting.

If CO is decent the only hand he's behind is AK. I fire again and get it AI if c/r'd.

I agree that getting check-raised would kinda suck, but I also agree that we should hardly ever be behind unless it's to QK which I could see playing it that way. I think both betting and checking are fine...I'd lean toward betting since I think we might be able to get another call from a made hand that's also drawing like AJ.

bet turn 100% its not close, checking behind is bad.

as for c/raises, I dunno what he hands he would c/c-c/r with. That means I dont think its likely at all to face a c/r. If we do face one I would be lost and would end up calling/shoving.

I think it really depends on how often you've seen CO check raise and what sort of range you'd put him on after the call on the flop. Your hand is +EV against even a tight range.

Unless he has AK or maaaaybe a set I don't see what he could possibly check/raise with after what seems to be a harmless turn for him. As the hand stands right now I'd bet, he could possibly be drawing or be willing to call you down with 2nd pair considering the way you have played him in the session so far.

i think his range is like T9, J9, AJ, AT, 99 type hands. he's betting anything that i'm behind on the flop and i would imagine he's betting his flush draws 100% of the time as well.

so often a hand goes check/call, *blank card* check/check, *blank card* check/bet/... and everyone says "call he's not representing anything here everyone stabs blah blah blah"

so can i get an extra bet out of his range if i check through the turn?

i guess i should have directed the thread a little more in the OP

With the range you have put him on you have to get the bet out of him here. You don't want to see a brick on the river because this may end up with him folding to your potential river bet.

I have more thoughts on it, I'll probably post again later.
