wierd party 25 50 spot
villian is imdonelosing, whos pretty agro and a party reg. i have been 3 betting a lot and being pretty agro overall. I also just got stacked on our other 3 handed table 4 betting AT all in pre vs. someone else. I only have 500 hands on him on my new comp and they say hes 37/23/2
anyways on to the hand Total number of players : 3 Seat 5: imdonelosing ( $8,360 USD ) Seat 1: borgouki_madon ( $14,490 USD ) Seat 7: x_AK_47_x ( $7,229 USD ) x_AK_47_x posts small blind [$25 USD]. borgouki_madon posts big blind [$50 USD]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to borgouki_madon [ Qc Qd ] imdonelosing raises [$250 USD] x_AK_47_x folds. borgouki_madon raises [$761 USD] imdonelosing raises [$1,822 USD] i dont think folding is an option here? so what do u think is better calling or just getting it in? i decided to just call ** Dealing Flop ** [ 4d, 2h, Td ] borgouki_madon checks. imdonelosing bets [$2,250 USD] my first instinct was to fold, because he knows that the flop is pretty good for my hand, but what do u do? |

Re: wierd party 25 50 spot
shoving pre is ok but I prefer calling and shoving a flop like this. And how does he know that flop is pretty good for your hand? Its T42, not T97

Re: wierd party 25 50 spot
I'd fold against him. That's a very player specific opinion though.

Re: wierd party 25 50 spot
yeah imdonelosing is a very original player, tough to answer this without playing lots vs. him

Re: wierd party 25 50 spot
If you fold this flop I think preflop is bad. What, were you calling for set value?

If you fold this flop I think preflop is bad. What, were you calling for set value? [/ QUOTE ] Meh, I see good players make calls like this a lot. I don't really like it if your distribution is exclusively QQ-JJ or something like that, but if you are mixing in some AA/KK/AK I think it is often the best play preflop if you think you're in pretty bad shape versus your opponents shove-calling range but also that AK is a big chunk of that range. The other thing is exploitively, if you think your opponent will rarely c-bet with AK or some other air hand after you call off so much preflop, you can obviously make huge laydowns when you're up against QQ+. In theory anyway... Not necessarily saying I like the preflop call in this hand, although I think I do. So many people are way too nitty on their preflop 4-bets, even in this kind of position. |

Re: wierd party 25 50 spot
Tough spot. I think this is so player specific its difficult to make a judgement, 3bet? As a general (no player info) view I don't think it's KK, more likely AA or AK. Probably AA.
Only way to find out is put him in, he probably puts you on JJ, QQ and with 4k back it's marginal (at best!) he can call the shove with AK. Wow this is tough without more player info. Is he leaving you some rope on the flop? Or has he missed? Only by knowing the player can you answer. |
