Default Deeper meaning of liff

You should all read this book (by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd) of definitions. A personal favorite of mine:

Pelutho (n.)
A South American ball game. The balls are whacked against a brick wall with a stout wooden bat until the prisoner confesses.
