2nd Nut facing small turn bet

1/2 at the B&M. I have literally sat down just four hands ago. In those hands and a couple I watched before I sat down, villain folded either preflop or limped then folded the flop. I don't think he's particularly tight though, my stereotyping based on his age and dress (middle aged guy looking really "cool" with his shades) would say that he thinks he's a real player able to read people.

I have $207, and pick up Qh9h on the button. Villain is UTG and has $300.

Preflop:
Villain limps, 4 more limpers, I call, blinds call.

Flop ($16): Tc Js Kc

Villain bets $10, one EP caller, all fold to me, I raise to $40, villain goes into the tank, sizes up my stack, talks to himself a lot, tries to stare at me, and eventually calls. It must have taken about 2 minutes. The EP player folded.

Turn ($106): 5d

Villain bets $40, I push for 125 more.

Thoughts in white:

<font color="white"> I was very frightened that he was acting on the flop, but when he bet into me on the turn I was very relieved. I assumed that it was a blocking bet for the flush draw and pushed immediately. The reason I'm posting this is because I pretty much always assume that a small bet on the turn here means weakness, do you agree </font> ?
