Default Just a cooler, nothing i can do??????

1-2 NL max 200.00 buy in
Hero 250.00$
Villian 200.00$

here's the skinny, I was in mid position 3 from the big blind and i was deal K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] k [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and i decide to limp for 2 dollars

folds around to button who calls also, small blind raises to 8, big blind calls 8, I'm next to act and re-raise to 48$
button folds, small blind folds, big blind calls another 40

FLOP is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Big blind checks, I bet 70.00, he mid raises me to 140.00 leaving him with around 20.00 left and pretty much committing himself.

So it's pretty much 90.00 more to me and think i'm way ahead, I dont think he has a 3, my best on the only hand he could beat me with is slowplayed aces twice because that's the best bored i've seen for kings in a while, I shove he calls he turns over 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I loose, but is there anything i can do here????

Post in small stakes, raise pre the first time, and yes you're going broke on that board.

I just hate the mid raise in this ring game as it always means a monster, at 1-2 level and the type of players i've seen worse calls for 40 bucks, note: no read on this player just sat for 200 a couple of hands before.

If you're only raising monsters first in from the hijack, you're playing ridiculously too tight. Also, if an open raise is always a monster then wtf is a limp / RR?

Meh.

Oh, you mean the min raise postflop I guess... my bad. Thought you meant you would hate to raise pre instead of limp.

Let me modify my response then, to

"To some players, any pocket pair is a monster on that board. This is especially true if their pocket pair happens to be 99-QQ.

Meh."
