Re: Common River Spot I Still Struggle With
im 3betting this against everyone you listed, the only time i dont is when utg is like 16/12 or 50/1
i think river is a fold against what looks like a semi-competent villain |

Re: Common River Spot I Still Struggle With
as played, im calling. you checked 3 times, he probably doesn't figure you for much of a hand. you only have to be good here about 30% of the time. call it.

Re: Common River Spot I Still Struggle With
As played I'm value betting the river. If villian is very bluffy then of course c/c. But against most players I think betting is correct.
Not a huge fan of 3betting AQo OOP against a good opponent. I guess if the game is really aggressive you all but have to... Also was this hand against me? |

Re: Common River Spot I Still Struggle With
b, c, and d all bet the turn with almost all their hands due to the draws. even JT will be betting the turn a bunch because they know you can't be that strong.
therefore i'd probably call the river and be good 30% of the time. |

Re: Common River Spot I Still Struggle With
Call - I don't think most players check a better hand behind on the turn with straight and flush draws there. It's possible villain has sucked out on the river with a hand like 89, 99 or JT, but against a lot of players, the c-bet, check turn, bet the river line seems to be air more than 30% of the time.

Re: Common River Spot I Still Struggle With
I don't see any other way to play it postflop once you don't 3 bet preflop. Even the nitiest of nits will try stabbing the river a decent percentage of the time after you check three times.
