Default Tough spot on flop

Villain is a 21/18/4 solid winning player. Don't have any notes on what types of hands he calls re-raises with. But he is def a smart thinking player.

Why are you 3-betting preflop if you can't get in comfortable on this flop?

He is 3-betting a late position raiser, trying to take down the pot right away. It isn't for value.

I fold. He has a set/overpair/good flush draw most of the time. We repopped him from the small blind, than bet the flop. He isn't doing this light if he is a winning player like you say he is.
