Default Why are chicken wings so popular?

They contain less meat than any other part of the chicken and they're nearly impossible to eat without getting messy. What is the big draw here? I don't get it.

I like the part of the chicken that's shaped like a mcnugget. Yeah those are pretty good.

They're prepared deliciously, but the chicken itself isn't better than any other part AFAIK. What I mean is, why not season a breast or even a leg the same way and do away with wings? A leg is like 10 wings worth of meat and 1/30th the work.

i think because they are so small, you are able to coat them with sauce that will give a desirable flavoring to meat ratio. on the other hand, the breast and whatnot can only get a sauce on one side. sure, you could cut pieces off and put them in sauce, but then there would be no skin! and skin is a must.

You forgot the satisfaction of ripping meat off the bone as if we were hunters instead of pussies who let other people kill and prepare meat for them.

I like that part alot.
