Default QQ street by street

villan is 21/15 over mined hands and seems competent. seems std taggy, not terribly tricky or anything. hero has 0 read on him as i just sat and he has not done anything out of the ordinary. so, 0 history with villan.

note stacks. i think that 4-betting pf IS an option but not one that is the most +EV. so i'll skip pf.

flop play:

Absolute Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
orange: $424.40
UTG+1: $91.60
CO: $110.10
Button: $355.30
SB: $410.50
BB: $55

Pre-flop: (6 players) orange is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
orange raises to $8, 2 folds, Button raises to $20, 2 folds, orange calls.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($43, 2 players)
orange checks/bets/why?

(i'm pretty sure that flop is a check, but would like to hear a few comments before i move on). any thoughts on pf 4-betting?

Even though he will very rarely show up with aa/kk here, its still overplaying and overepping your hand 200bb deep and utg.

hes mostly going to have 99-77 and looking get some initiative/bloat pot if he hits set. I'd probably check/call flop, betting could be ok if you could very safely fold to a raise, and you can get value out of tt, 9x.

as played I'd still just call but I'd lead most turns.

i also like smooth calling pf and c/c flop. i'm unsure about what's best on the turn though, why do you like leading?

edit: missed that ridiculous cbet, i still like a c/c though.

even with the tiny bet, I c/c here. He's obv. not good, but we really don't know what "not good" means yet. I err on the conservative side in these situations without history/reads.

Outside of hitting a queen, I'm very comfortable with calling two streets most likely. Maybe betting the river if the turn gets checked through.

I strongly believe that being OOP vs. an unknown 3bettor that this is not a spot we want to play a big pot.

Why would villian make such a small bet? Although the bet is clearly suboptimal it is a question we need to ask.

I think a flop raise has the potential to take a lot of value out of our hand here. I would still just call the flop bet because this kind of bet is very strange and I dont know how comfortable I am reopening the betting here. How would we react to a 3b if we raise the flop? I guess what I am getting at is what hands in villians range are we getting value from if we raise the flop?

Orange,

PF: Fine. Quite deep so not too interested in jamming up a pot with QQ just yet. Will wait for a nice flop to start getting money in.

Flop: I have no problem checking if I plan on raising this flop. You got the flop you wanted. Make it happen.

This retard bet makes me want to raise even more by the way.
