Default let\'s iso the limper

OK i'm the limper I normally don't limp here, but everyone behind me is loose, including blinds, so I expected others to be coming in, but alas, the TAG directly behind me raises.

he is 17/10/2.4 after 120 hands--no other reads.

This play has virtue. Most raising hands missed this flop. If called, we can lead a safe turn and c/c the river if villain calls the turn (I'm assuming villain will fold turn UI or call a PP). Also, if 3-bet, we can assume villain has a very strong hand and lay it down on the turn UI.

Hmmm....looks like a plan.

Presumably, you raised the flop in case your opponent had OC's.

So, you would fold if 3-bet and lead a safish turn if called ?

Yes. I think thats a nice situational shot. He has very likely missed this flop but he might believe you hit it since you limped.

Course, and you already know it, it's now or never because your implied odds reek.

yeah, getting 3-bet would kinda suck, but if I fold to a 3-bet, I'm just asking to get owned next time. call it a 1BB metagame. also pulling the near-bottom runner runner 1card flush FTW would be pretty funny.

as mentioned, fire again on turn if he calls, and call if he 3-bets.

i do this ~always. and yeah i follow up with a turn bet and then the river is player/situation dependent.

and another reason for not folding to a potential flop 3bet is that we're getting 10:1 at that point with set and backdoor outs + implied odds (esp. if a red 4 comes off).
