Default 25NL ATo flops Top Set

how would you play this? i dont think my pfr was a good idea since it was out of position, correct me if im wrong. also i wonder if i should have checked on the river once that scary club came.

thats trips, not a set &lt;/peeve&gt;

anyway, im betting like 3-3.5 on the flop....turn bet is fine...river makes me sick cause its a FD so often...but given stacks, i think i have to shove river..

1. That's trips, not a set.

2. I like to check the flop, call a bet and lead with PSB on turn.

I like the preflop raise, however, your bets on the next streets are allowing too many pot odds. For example, on your flop bet, you bet $2.50 into a $4.10 pot. This now gives your opponent to put in $2.50 into a $6.60 (about 2.5:1 odds). When there is a threat of a flush when I have trips, I like to bet closer to the size of the pot. For example, in this situation, I would bet $3.50. If he calls the flop, and doesn't hit a club on the turn (if he's on the flush draw), another larger bet will probably get him to fold (for danger of becoming pot-committed on a draw). So, I would bet $3.50 on the flop, and then $10 on the turn. If he calls the turn, and the club came, a check would be your best move.
