Default I have the nut flush, maniac shoves river - Everest 200NL

Okay so this guy is a total maniac. He plays 79/25/2.

First, I witnessed this hand:

EverestPoker - $1.00/$2.00 - No Limit Hold'em
Seat 1: Robson64 ($85.70)
Seat 2: pineukio ($89.95)
Seat 3: Kaffedopp ($249.70)
Seat 4: HERO ($219.59)
Seat 5: abZurdo ($213.50)
Seat 6: chjack ($237.15)
Kaffedopp posts the small blind of $1.00
HERO posts the big blind of $2.00
The button is in seat #2
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
abZurdo folds
chjack raises to $7.00
Robson64 folds
pineukio raises to $24.00
Kaffedopp folds
HERO folds
chjack raises to $75.00
pineukio raises to $89.95 and is all-in
chjack calls $14.95
*** SHOW DOWN ***
chjack shows [J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]
pineukio shows [8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]

He won because his 7 hit.

The very next hand, the following happens:

EverestPoker - $1.00/$2.00 - No Limit Hold'em
Seat 1: Robson64 ($85.70)
Seat 2: pineukio ($179.90)
Seat 3: Kaffedopp ($248.70)
Seat 4: HERO ($217.59)
Seat 5: abZurdo ($213.50)
Seat 6: chjack ($147.20)
HERO posts the small blind of $1.00
abZurdo posts the big blind of $2.00
The button is in seat #3
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
chjack folds
Robson64 folds
pineukio calls $2.00
Kaffedopp folds
HERO calls $1.00
abZurdo checks
*** FLOP *** [5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
HERO bets $5.00
abZurdo folds
pineukio calls $5.00
*** TURN *** [5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] [K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
HERO bets $12.00
pineukio calls $12.00
*** RIVER *** [5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] [4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
HERO checks
pineukio bets $160.90 and is all-in
HERO ......

I planned a check-call, since he is a maniac but not a calling station, so I could get value out of a bluff.
But now, he bets $160 into a $40 pot! Against some normal fish I instamuck, given the paired board combined with the 4th diamond. I'd put villain on a boat and be happy I got off cheap.

But given the previous hand, I'm really in doubt, since there is a huge huge chance he is bluffing.

Would you call this or fold this?

Uh, snap call? Is this a serious question?

Qd5x? KxQd? Less? With your read I don't think I'm letting this go.

Insta call. If he has a boat, reload and hope to bust him before he dumps his stack to another player.

I think really you already know that there is no way you can ever fold here to this kind of player. I think you're more likely to see something like a pair of 5s than a boat.

Thanks for the responses.

Results:

I pussed out and folded. At the time it was 50/50 in my mind, but figured I would go on tilt if he had a boat and hit&run on me.

Later on, I knew for sure my fold was bad, but I wanted to see what you guys would do here and indeed you all seem to agree that this would have been an easy call.

Anyway, two hands later he won a $185 pot from someone when he called a shove on the turn with a naked Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] which rivered a flush. Three hands later, I won a $160 pot from him, when he potted every street with middle pair and I c/c'd every street with TPWK. After that he left.

So yeah most likely I was ahead on this hand but I guess I didn't have the balls to call.

I folded a non-nut Flush to a 3x pot River open-shove one time. Three hands later I saw the guy do that same thing with Queen high. Luckily, he reloaded I and got vengeance.

BTW: You can tell yourself "It's a good call, but if I call and lose I'll log out for a while to cool off". That way you won't steam off any more buyins after getting owned.
