Default Pokertracker & laptop harddrives

I'm thinking about buying my first laptop and since most of them come with a 5400RPM HD is that gonna affect the use of pokertracker or will there be no difference compared to a 7200RPM drive?

I would think that filtering/searching/reporting on the database, and such, would require a little more time. I don't think we're talking about any significant amount of time though. With a faster processor and more RAM than your old PC it might actually be faster.

Has anyone had any actual experience with this switch?

There are plenty of laptops out now with 7200rpm drives. You won't find them at Dell, though.

Yeah I know but it's not available on all of them. Just wondering if there's a noticeable difference between the drives and worth choosing a different computer because of it. After all the laptop will mostly be used for poker

When I upgraded to a RAID harddrive array (vastly increasing my harddrive speed) I noticed a huge upgrade in PokerTracker ability. I suggest you upgrade the harddrive.
