Default Theory question: playing with 1 ace in the blinds

We are in the BB. An opponent who is perfectly equal in skill to you raises the standard amount in MP. You both have a good image atm, and effective stacks are 100BBs. Everyone folds to you.

What is the worst non-suited ace you call with?
What is the worst suited ace you call with?
How good does your hand need to be to raise?

In some situations, I have started folding AJ when HU against opponents I respect, and who I don't have an edge over post-flop. Playing with most ace hands in this situation sets you up for a classic "tough spot" post-flop. If I'm not willing to commit my stack with a single paired A on the flop, turn, and river, then I'm already giving my opponent a huge post-flop advantage. Thoughts?

Edit for clarity.

1) AJo is the worst non-suited ace I would call with. You should check raise some flops when you miss and donk bet some flops when you miss. Don't do this too frequently, but always calling and check folding is probably a leak.

2) A10s/A9s

3)AQo, and I would be re-raising w/ it like 40% and calling like 60% (these percentages are dependent upon villians 3-bet calling range, but this is how I would play vs standard unknown tag). Re-raising this hand oop puts you in some difficult spots post flop when you miss. However, you won't always miss and you will take it down preflop often. Calling keeps worse aces in the hand, and you will be able to extract a lot of value when you both flop top pair.

This may not be as aggro as some others suggest, but I hate re-raising oop and whiffing the flop.

raise: ATs+,AJo+, maybe lighter if he's late middle position
call: A8o+ A7s+

AGGRESSION! he could be raising 22 there for chrissakes..

Re-raising oop w/ A10s and calling w/ A8o are big leaks, imo (they are for me). You are guaranteed to be behind when your re-raise w/ A10s is called. Also, you are going to be check folding A8o alot, and you just aren't getting much value out of worse aces.

I play pretty tight in these situations and i mostly agree with cfb. Anything more aggressive PF will get you into questionable spots later in the hand most of the time IMO.

i will mix up folding, calling and 3betting with AJo OOP, AQo is a call 40%, 60% i raise it. i don't even call with ATs usually, however i will 3bet with A9s+ sometimes
