Default Is The Pinny Lean Ever Wrong?

Obviously in specific instances the "Pinny lean" may prove to be on the wrong side, that's not what I'm asking.

What I'm wondering is, are there any general situations where you feel that the line at Pinnacle isn't necessarily efficient?

For example:
1) It's late Saturday morning, and a high-profile college football game is about to kick-off. The line gradually moves toward the favorite, and eventually you can bet the favorite at a slow-moving book for a hypothetical zero cent arb with the dog at Pinny. Without any additional information, do you bet the favorite at the square book, or assume that square money moved the line and lay off?

2) Same type of situation...It's halftime of a Monday Night Football game, and the 2nd half line again gradually moves toward the favorite. You can once again bet the favorite at a square book for a hypothetical zero cent arb with the dog at Pinny. Do you do it?

You get the idea. Basically, are there any general situations (i.e. no handicapping of the specific teams involved) where you think that square money moves the line, or do you always assume that it is sharp money (implying the Pinny line is most efficient/accurate)?

I meant to say: going to battle with Pinny on game day is never a good idea. Those lines are tough to beat.

Word. Its like the Art of War. This is one battle you don't take without the 10-1 advantage and the high ground. Especially when SB does its damndest to hand out money like coke to hookers.

Follow several "sharps" as see if they're on coolers as well. This is a good indication. Also arbitrage affiliates are able to check this ish out as well through a much larger sample that hits the long run v v fast.

Have you been doing this profitably? Just taking the line at another book that is inefficient according to Pinny?
