$22/180 FT bubble - whats our plan
10 left - I am short stack with one other about the same. I just got moved to this table so no real reads other than I shoved a few times and no callers (came to the table with 8k about 10 hands ago).
I think this might be pretty standard but your plan here is what? Pot is 2000 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t1000 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG (t20706) MP (t29430) Hero (t14554) SB (t59445) BB (t17457) Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero ???????? |

Re: $22/180 FT bubble - whats our plan
shove immediately ur 5 handed wit a very small stack these 180s are so top heavy pay wise u need to start accumulating chips for the final table. Plus ur on the button wich will add a wide variety of callin ranges for the blinds as they might think u r stealing
I think anything but a shove here is a mistake the money in the pot is already more than 10% of ur stack |

Re: $22/180 FT bubble - whats our plan
I agree with shoving, i would be pretty tempted to make a standard raise to 3000 because you arent that short stacked yet, but I am calling any all in so I think a shove is fine.

Both shoving and raising with the intention of calling AI seem viable. Which is better probably depends on the tendencies of the blinds. I mostly just shove though.

Re: $22/180 FT bubble - whats our plan
I think the antes make a shove the only play, 14 bb's is not much if any of an overshove here. BB is in prime resteal and we aren't folding, use the fold equity and get that pot. As Sah mentioned, ft means nothing here, 180's are about getting in the top 3, you must accumulate.
