Default looking for some answers plz

ok im at a new table and this is what happens. basically i was playing for 5 hours and have a few betting patter reads on a few players left in this hand (i dont want to say who) and im playing solid. nursed a short stack back to health. then this hand comes along and i just don't know what to think. did i play this bad, no matter the outcome?judging by the call i made do you think i should have opened the 2 players ranges? and if so was it an easy lay down? just tell me what you think of the hand in general and tell me what you think i should have done or what i did right. frankly i just don't know im thinking it was half donk call preflop and half brilent post flop. your thoughts?

Fold pre-flop, i dont like your raise all-in, normally you will just gt called by hands that beat you.

i would of folded preflop j7 is junk on the bb plus you had a player to act behind you.

on the flop you had top pair weak kicker so i would of dumped it there to an overbet.

even if it is a freeroll you still want to try to play well and not risk all your chips in marginal spot.

I think you should fold preflop. You can play this after an open minimum raise on the button, although it's not worth a lot. A minimum raise after one limper is more likely to be a better hand, you aren't getting as much of a discount to play, and you are more likely to be dominated by a hand like QJ from the limper.

On the flop, I think you would do better to check-call rather than to check-raise. The reason is that if the limper likes the flop, you want to put the minimum number of chips. By check-raising, you put all of your chips in before he indicated whether he liked the flop, as the check in front of the preflop raiser means little. I'm not sure whether a check-call is better than folding.

It is probably better not to post the results immediately, although they do have entertainment value.

Fold preflop.

Freerolls are generally full of bad players, and you'll need a genuine decent hand to beat them; pair of Js with 8 kicker isn't it.
