Default Pick a poker book for me!

So i need to buy a poker book i thing, i feel if i want to make the step up too NL 25 i should know about more about NL holdem. I have only ever read Small stakes Holdem which was a big help for me at NL 10 i think i need to brush up on the varous NL concepts if i want to move up the ladder.

I am wondering whats best? I know there is NLTOP, TOP and possibly HOH Vol 1<- not sure if this would be good for cash or not)

So bascially need you good people to recommend a book, if there is one i have left out let me know. What are Phil gordons little books like?

I am thinking that the new book PNL is a bit too advanced for me at this stage? [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

[/ QUOTE ]No- you'll do fine with it. It really isn't that complicated.

I highly recommend it as your next book.

After this I think NLHE TAP should be the next on your list. I play 10NL and am about to move up in stakes and both of these books have completely changed the way I look at the game and have gotten me where I am today almost singlehandedly.

Just kidding, I would go for "No-Limit Holdem; Theory and Practice", "Harrington on Holdem", and "Professional No Limit"

Probably in that order.

lol.

I'd say TOP if you've not read it. To someone who wants some thinking time and is early on in the poker career, LGB followed immediately by HoH1. If you read LGB, ask about the preflop hand ranges here, cos his ranges are really not entirely good for micros.

Haven't read PNL, so that could be the right answer.

Hi.

I think Phil Gordons "Little Green Book" is great.

I've read the books ... forget 'em

Go to each poker forum, head for the stickies and read the "best of" anthologys. Follow the links. Watch the free videos offered.

Do that for all stakes and the tournament forums as well and then organize word documents for yourself putting each topic in an easy to find file on your comp.

Print them out if you can. There is a ton so it will be a big stack of paper.

You'll get much more out of that than any book and it's free (except for the printing if you do that)
