Default 100NL Follow up with AA

Another typical AA hand... it seemed too much at the time, but should I have just pushed to his RR? This was last week and I'm at work so I don't have his stats, but I recall that he was fairly loose.

I checked to him on the flop figuring he would bet and I was going to push his raise, but he checked behind. Now the turn brought a card that scares me. I've seen many players reraise with AK, and he could have easily overplayed it and called my RR. Or he did it with QQ or JJ and has hit his set.

I'm thinking of betting the turn, but I'll have to put in at least $40, which will be over half what I have left. Should I make a smaller bet (1/3 to 1/2) and call or fold if he pushes? Or should I check it and see what he does on the turn?

You HAVE to bet that flop. 2/3 to pot. You have two draws out there, and you cannot afford to give a free card.

I don't understand the 3b or 4b check the flop line I've seen it twice in as many days now.

PUSH THE FLOP!

how in the world do you check that flop after you 4 bet PF. If you wanted to get tricky you could have just cold call his bet PF and raised his CBet on the flop, but I think not betting the flop is a disaster waiting to happen.

going for a c/r when you are preflop aggressor is bad.
just push the flop.

This is not a typical AA hand- you have a pot sized bet left on the flop stick it in. You only have to be good 33% of the time for this to be profitable, and you are way ahead of that. Trapping is pointless- if he has anything at all he'll call because HE only has to be good 33% of the time to call your bet.

If my preflop reraise should be larger I may as well shove, since putting in 50 of 100 seems stupid.

So the best bet here is to shove the flop, not preflop?
I didn't shove to his RR because I didn't think I'd get called very often.
