Raise? Not inclined to. Will fold to re raise and as i will most likely miss the flop and check it back to him allowing him to bet and take the pot.

Call? I Have a good hand, but i need to see an A on the flop to feel really confident. Even then if i pot it and he calls im pretty lost unless hes on some middling ace.

Fold? Early position raises 3bb on tight table, looks like a PP or a high ace. AQo are nice hole cards but not a made hand. Very eary on too, many more clear cut +ev situations will occur.

Sooo folding best here? Or am i throwing away value?

Seems like a fairly easy call/see flop/get out quick if we miss situation.

I dont mind this fold but I may call b/c the pot is getting large and if I flop an A or Q I expect to make a fair amount of chips. We also may want to put it in the heads of our opps we defend our blinds even though at this level its probably totally unnecessary.

Umm expect to lose the max, make the minimum with this type of hand. The only hands you're going to make a fair amount of chips from are AJ-A10 or KQ. Everything else will either be cautious of the A or Q on the flop (any PP below QQ) or rape you with the A or Q on the flop (AK, AA, KK, QQ)

this is more true in L1 or L2. once L3 comes and the pot gets bigger (this one will be at least 375), then you can stack villian's Ax Qx. plus you get a lot from middle pocket pairs on a Qxx, when villians pocket pair is higher than xx.

You could say the exact same thing about every flop with every hand, save for AA. Call it and play a little poker. What rule says you have to check it back to him if you miss the flop? You're the BB so it's only 100 more to call this to see 175. What it sounds like I hear you saying is that you're only calling a raise with AK+ here? Sounds too Weak-Tight to me.

I think it can be a call or fold depending on the villain, call against most people and be happy to get your stack in on an Axx flop.
