Default 50NL Bottom 2 pair and no plan on turn

$.25/$.50 No-Limit Cash Game on BODOG (apologies for lack of hand converter, so please bear with me)

This is literally my first hand at the table and I am in the BB. No reads yet.

Relevant stack sizes:

HERO ($50)
Villain ($21)

My hand is 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

PREFLOP: Villain (UTG+1) limps, 2 other limpers, SB folds, HERO checks

FLOP (POT=$2.25; 4 players): 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

HERO bets $2, Villain calls, everyone else folds

TURN (POT = $6.25): K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

HERO bets $5, Villain raises to $10, HERO ???

At this point I hate my hand and suspect I'm probably beat, but Villain only has $8 left in his stack. Can/should I fold to his min-raise? I suppose I shouldn't be betting the $5 on the turn unless I'm willing to play for his stack. Anyway, I think I'm getting a little over 2:1 on a push here, but am I ahead enough?

KJ, QT, J9, 99, 44 all beat you. J9, 99 and 44 might have raised on the flop. AJ or non-KJ top-pair hands probably wouldn't raise the turn. As for draws with one or no pair, this line doesn't seem like that kind of a semi-bluff. If it is, it doesn't seem like a particularly good one unless he knows you well enough to think that you would think that a call/small-raise would be more likely to fold you out than a big flop raise. But that seems unlikely since this is your 1st hand at the table.

So, I think you are behind enough to fold despite the 2:1 pot odds to push. And, given the stack sizes, you have 0 fold equity.

shove, you have 2 pair vs. a half stack on a board with every draw imaginable.

And its probably a typical Bodog donkey who decides his QJ is good on the turn.
