Default What\'s the 1-2 NL like at Foxwoods - one answer

Sunday morning around 10a.

About 7 players limp. ~$15 in the pot.

Flop A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

1st to act bets $60 - all-in.

A few folds. Guy in mid position agonizes for about 1 minute, finally folds.

Asian chick in late position calls.

They both flip up cards.

1st to act has 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Chick has 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Turn K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

River 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Asian chick takes the pot. 9 high beats 5 high.

1st to act says he wanted to leave anyway.

Guy who agonized says he hates himself since he folded a K - he's about suicidal at this point.

Asian chick says if agonizer calls the flop, then she would have folded!

I love Foxwoods.

That's my favorite line of the post

She calls with a flush draw getting 1.25:1 but would have folded getting 2.25:1

It turns out that there really is such a thing as a bluff-call: make a sick read on EP that your 9 high is good, so you bluff out the guy behind you by calling.

ahh, but you should raise to protect your hand right?

Another way to do it is in limit. If you think a river bet is a bluff, insta-call and say "stone cold bluff sir?" He might muck immediately, depending on the dealer's mood, you might get the pot without showing your nut-low. But I show it anyway

HA HA HA...

I LOVE Foxwoods!

The room is huge, full of terrible players, with a great management (I was 14th on a list as seated in 12min. - you can't beat that!).
