OpenTable users - where have you gone to dinner this year?
OK, I just noticed that you can see all your past reservations on OpenTable. Sorta cool. Anyway, OpenTable users, post your list here, I'm curious!

Haha, standard El D brag thread.
I suck even worse than Daryn. I've only used it at Brix, in Napa, this past weekend. Probably need to check it out more often. We really enjoyed Brix though. El D, do you end up using your points for something?? |

Re: OpenTable users - where have you gone to dinner this year?
nolan,
"Haha, standard El D brag thread." Actually, most of my favorite places I've been to this year aren't on the list - either they were small places not on OpenTable or someone else made reservations. I do think OpenTable is pretty sweet, though, and I vastly prefer it to having to call places. "El D, do you end up using your points for something??" Hmmm. Never have bothered to look. Looking.... Hmm, apparently each standard (crappy restaurants and times get you bonus points) reservation gets you $1 worth of credit. I'm 5 reservations away from a $50 gift cert, woohoo! |

This is a pretty sweet site, thanks for opening my eyes. It would be 10x better if they had user reviews, though.

Re: OpenTable users - where have you gone to dinner this year?
Pretty sick site, El D. It looks like they've gotten most of the big fancy restaurants in Phoenix/Scottsdale on their list. I think they could be a little more generous than their $1/tab rebate but it's better than nothing.

[/ QUOTE ] Some restaurants complain about the (approx?) one dollar per diner that OpenTable gets, so it's hard for them to pass on much more to the diner. Maybe the gift certificate is subsidized somehow, I dunno. |
