no f---ing way people fold sets on the flop in f\'woods 1/2NL do they?
foxwoods 1-2NL
Hero: $250 young TAG w/ ipod: $230 40ish LAG: $900 two players limp, young TAG raises to 15 from MP, deep stacked LAG calls, cutoff and button both call, hero calls in the SB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and BB as well as limpers fold. Flop: ($80) 5 players 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hero checks, TAG bets $40, LAG calls $40, folded around, hero shoves for $235. TAG goes into the tank and eventually makes a reluctant call, LAG goes into the tank even longer, and folds. results to immediately follow, all feedback appreciated |

You played this fine, and you realize you want a set to fold right?

yeah, bet/shove isn't bad. Also, why would anyone fold a set here?

Raising to $120 is a bit silly considering stack and potsize and all that, but still it probably has more FE than anything less.
Leading the flop seems nonsensical in this situation. There is 0 room to reraise if you get raised, and if you get called you're in a horrible spot if you miss. |

Re: no f---ing way people fold sets on the flop in f\'woods 1/2NL do th
the TAG eventually made a crying call with aces, and the LAG showed his neighbor before folding, who both claimed that he folded a set of fives afterwards (obviously my read as him being a lag is wrong if he is able to give me credit for set over set 100BB deep)

Looks good. I'd play a set the same way.

You played this fine, and you realize you want a set to fold right? [/ QUOTE ] i know, i am just shocked that anyone would EVER fold a set on the flop except in the most extreme circumstances when only 100BB deep |
