$11t - button shove
NO_LIMIT TEXAS_HOLDEM $10+$1 BLINDS 150/300
Seat 1: Moragthong ($1,460 in chips) Seat 3: HERO ($1,620 in chips) (Q8o) Seat 4: SB ($1,050 in chips) Seat 6: BB ($3,138 in chips) Seat 7: jukka13 ($4,727 in chips) Seat 8: tribalpoul ($3,005 in chips) PRE-FLOP 3 folds, HERO is all-in? SB was silly with his short stack, folding too many blinds. Also some FE over BB. Easy shove? |

Re: $11t - button shove
a push looks fine to me, you have just over 5 BB so you need to make a move. plus it helps that sb is folding too much.

Re: $11t - button shove
we gain ~1/4 of our stack by pushing this without a call, i like it ,especially with your read on the sb. bb has no reason to look you up without a hand with his stack.

Re: $11t - button shove
If the SB is calling around 20% of hands which is pretty tight for the situation, then it depends on what the BB calls.
If he will call with 30% then you should only push around 40% of hands which just excludes Q8 but if he only calls with 20% then your push range moves up to the top 90%. Since 30% includes hands like K4s and QJ which is pretty unlikely I think this is a good push. |

Re: $11t - button shove
This is where sngwiz ranges can be goofy b/c the BB will rarely have a nice card with range %'s highlighted and say O I must call with k4s. He will often fold Ax up to A6 or 7 if OP hasn't been to active.

Re: $11t - button shove
I like this shove given reads on the SB.
