So you want to play NOW and you post...
How many off the button does this become a raise with any hand when folded to? If not all hands, then what would be typical ranges? I'm just curious, as a friend of mine posted in the hijack, was dealt 72o and it was folded to him. I told him he should've raised. (0.5/1 SB/BB structure)

Obviously this depends somewhat on the limit and if these are people you'd play before but I'd estimate that MP2 is about where I'd start caring about my cards.

I would raise in any seat that I would post in. The Hijack, is probably the earliest seat that I would ever post in.

Re: So you want to play NOW and you post...
I'm recalling something I read by Sklansky, think it might have been in hpfap. I took it so say, if you post and it's folded to you always raise. Maybe the real question is how early are you willing to post.

Re: So you want to play NOW and you post...
Sometimes I prefer to post in the cutoff just so I get to open-raise and play trash. Although, with players I know are passive over-defenders in the BB, I check with my truly terrible HU heads, 23, 24, 25, 26....etc.
