Default One more time?

8-16 in Oceanside

Just moved to the main game with a bit more than two racks. So people probably think I am winning a lot even though I buy two.

The only hand I have shown down was against the main villain in this hand and I value town-ed him on a AQJ X X board with AJo after he raised p/f, and check called the whole way.

My initial read on him was that he was solid-ish, maybe thinking about what was actually going on because he had a solid table demeanor and wasn't playing every hand PF. He seemed like a smart dude, carried himself well and was wearing a '2005 Callaway SAP Integration Team' logo on his shirt or something.

Anyway he open limps on the HJ, I raise AK in the SB and the BB calls along with the HJ.

T86. I ball out and they both call.

T866 I fire, BB folds, and HJ calls, so HU now

River was another great blank that I cant remember and I bet again. Let's also assume that since it was a good card for me to bet it, it would also be a good card for villain to call.

I am just hoping he wont call, am I a dreamer?

I never bet the river here but I thought I would give it a whirl. Is it worth the shot?

Bet in rhythm; It's the new rage.

I think it can be worth it if he is like you say a thinking player that is capable of folding a hand. What did he show down on that Aj hand you had he he called all the way or did he show it?

Hate it. If you're putting in a bet on this river, let him bluff 87s.

Good for the image. I've done worse. Showing you're capable of firing a 3 shot may pay off more often than c/c.

You're a wild and crazy guy.

Heads up I would bet it. Most players only fire on every street with an overpair, and they expect you to have one in this spot. If you get called and show the bluff, you'll get more action on your legitimate hands for the next hour or two. Pretty much a win-win as long as you only do it once in a while.

Uhhh... my default line against the degens here is to check and sometimes call since they are checking hands as strong as top pair behind.

Given the read, bet because he might fold a pair and for advertising value.

check and hope he checks behind with a small pair for a free SD.

note: i didnt say anything about inducing a bluff. I've played a lot of live limit hold em and this never happens - most of your opponents give up if they have nothing.

Some of the LAGs will fire away because they love to stab at pots. Otherwise I agree.

This guy sounds like he's trying to play good so I'm ruling out check/call and check/fold.

also note that when playing shorthanded, you can easily have a value bet here. (not so much full ring though imo).

HE's got JTo and he will call.

this hand stinks like a random T.

he might even have a stinker like 9Ts but its doubtfull he would open limp when all he can hope for is 4 followers or will very likely be raised and therefore be in last relitive position through out.

2 racks in 6 12 game? thats like 16 BB

your underfunded

check the river and hope to win against A-donk suited.

After he calls on the turn your simply spewing.
