Default Need a new wardrobe

Pretty much i have been wearing the same thing since highschool. Black shirts with blue jeans. I'm now 22 and looking for some new clothes but don't even know where to begin. Need advice on where to shop and about how much I would need. Thats how long I haven't bought clothes for, I don't even know how much they cost now a days.

I'm not looking for the rockstarish look. More just going the everyday blending in look and i'm tired of plain black tees. I guess you could say more preppy but also not crazy like in that post. Around where i live(chicago suburbs) I would probably get my ass kicked with that stuff.

Do you have a decent budget for this? I would recommend going to Nordstrom and just asking for help there. Their sales people are extremely helpful and will be able to help you out, they will at least be able to get you started.

Never underestimate the collared polo-style shirt. You can get them relatively cheap at mens Xpress if you don't want to fork over the money for real Lacoste brand. Go for primary colors, blue, red, green, bright colors in summer, dark colors in winter. They go with everything and always look good.

Get a good pair or two of blue jeans, lookin at at least $100 a pair jeans here, they will last and they're worth it. While your at it get a nice pair of loose fitting kahaki colored dress pants, these pants are underestimated in how well they look with even just a regular T-shirt.

Then just get a pair of white sneakers, I like Puma brand and you're all set.
