BLUF SHOV
5/10 6max
villain is a friend, 2p2er, good player, etc. he knows i am aggro and good, though we dont get too out of line w/each other (i once 4bet 66 but thats it) folded to me in CO, i raise to 35 w/65o, villain calls in BB flop ($75): 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] villain checks, hero bets $60, villain calls turn ($195): J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] villain checks, hero bets $150, villain calls river ($495): A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] villain checks, hero shoves for $900 obv i think my 2nd barrel is pretty bad, he often has a hand like T9/T8/JT there, or diamonds etc., that isnt folding to the 2nd barrel, but once ive done that and this river peels off, is river shove the only play ??? |

Re: BLUF SHOV
Im do these overbets bluffs rather frequently, but I reallythink I bet of 350-400 acomplishes the same thing. Would villian c/r the flop with the nut flush draw? And would he call preflop with a hand like A9s/A8s?

Re: BLUF SHOV
Agree with the above, $350 accomplishes the same thing. How likely do you think you are to be looked up if his range includes AdXd? A9? etc ... very opponent dependent. I still wouldn't shove tho.

Re: BLUF SHOV
Risking too much to bluff down a $495 pot.. makes it look more like a bluff than $400 bet.
