Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
Final three and I'm short stack with one fold ahead of me, my pushing range is pretty wide, but it doesn't include 47o.

Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
not necessarily a bad play...youre being result oriented. Could wait for a little better hand like connected/suited cards, but you'd have to push soon regardless

Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
This is probably fine, but if he has loosened up a lot since it got down to 3 handed I would let it go.

Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
how is this range for the situation?:
any pair, any two face cards, suited connectors, suited gap connectors, any ace, any king. |

This depends a lot on how the BB has been playing so far. If he is loose, I tighten my shove range a bit and vice versa. Also, given the fact that the BB is the big stack, he might call much wider than normal .. even if he loses, you are all even and it's still anybodies game. If he wins, it's HU with a HUGE chiplead. So I might take a gamble here as the BB. |

Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
exactly
against an average player your pushing range here is any 2 cards - only if BB is very loose you have to tighten up a little. |

Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
If players are playing perfectly its a bad push I think, but with any sort've read (& most people don't call light enough) it's ok.

Re: Inflection point - - bad push?
Just wondering, but what did he call with? For you to push 74os means your read was that his calling range was pretty tight. So if villain showed up with A10+ any PP then your read was right and thus you push CORRECT. If villian showed up with 9 10, then your read was bad and you should have waited for a better hand. When 3 handed I like to get way from M and move to BB's with more then 5BB I'm not pushing 74 without a good read. ~loose |
