Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
Every street is played well. Not sure if you should bet river as a value-bluff in case he has like A8s. It all depends on whether you think he is good enough to fold an 8 or bad enough to call with A high. I think a river check is prob fine though.

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
You gotta barrel this river in hope of losing this guy...
Other than that, I think your flop play is as nuts as the perceived play of your opponents. Only one orbit, how can you have such a good read??? But that's just my opinion... |

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
capping flop is good to try and get rid of utg
sb could have a king or some kind of combo draw, his line is weird though, either way, I think betting the turn when checked to for a free showdown outweighs taking a free card bc you charge draws and are not likely to get re-raised by a king anyway and can let go of the hand pretty easily when raised also for these reasons, river is a check, we're not folding out anything we beat you've played the hand well, nh |

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
thanks guy... i just wanted to see if i was being too result-oriented... i knew sb pretty well as tilty lp bad and still think that he would've called river w/ 8... i've seen him cold call 2 on flop but fold on blank turn to 1 bet on 842r boards...
i felt like i either donk into a solid player or take my line but hated calling like sheep w/ marginal hand... |

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
i read utg as laggy preflop because he had raised like 3 of 6 pots or somethign but never showed down...
well, i actually thought i was value betting on the turn when he just check/called... would you guys be more likely to value bet river if the flop were Ks 4h 3s because then he could've had 4 and an fd?? |

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
I'm taking a free card on the turn and call almost all rivers (obviously raising the good ones). Lose the least when we're behind, still probably get the bet out of him on the river (since he'll donk a lot of bluffs), and we can still bet for value on the river if we feel he's calling with A high.

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
I like it as played. You maxed out if he is on a flush draw and not betting the river saves you a bet if he has a K with a weak kicker. You miss a bet if he has A3s but I think that is a lot less likely than his other possible hands.
Edit: Sorry I missed the part about him having an 8. He doesn't fold that much of the time if at all. I wouldn't fold it - you could be on a flush draw. |

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
Can you explain the flop c/r? I see a lot of players take this line, but don't understand it. Are you waiting to see what SB does? I either bet or just call, because I don't see the point of the c/r to bloat the pot so the overs will make correct calls when your hand is so vulnerable.

Re: advice on flop, turn, river play?
would you donk a king? most players wouldn't
we'd like to take initiative of the hand and we want to have it cheap a c/r looks stronger than a donk, if utg raises our donk bet we are still kinda in the dark, whereas if utg 3-bets our c/r, we'll know a lot more in adition, we'll get to see what sb does before we commit chips also, on a K high flop, there aint many overs, sry for the cheap shot |
