shove. villain is calling with so many hands. a lot of the ones that beat you, he would probably have bet by now.

As far as I can see it looks like he has a drawing hand from the flop (either a flush or straight), the river seems to complete both of these.

I don't quite understand why he would then check on the river, unless he thought you would bet again. His preflop call suggests a hand like Ax, KQ KJ etc or a small pair. I would guess he was on A5 and was flat calling his top pair top kicker.

If you bet in this position you are likely only to be called if you are beaten, so I would check as you did on the river. You aren't going to get him to fold the straight or flush with a bet and he probably wouldn't call with a hand you could beat.

In my opinion you made the right play.

i'd check behind. most villains don't c/c twice with an overpair, so i'm not really seeing all these tons of hands that this guy is calling with. both draws got there, and his stack size is an irritation.

this is quite easy value bet. he will call you with many 1/2pair hand which you beat.

as he has about pot sized bet left. it is just the right to bet it. therefor obvious shove.
