Default NL100: Another river bluff

Villian is pretty new at the table on his second orbit. He's already been involved in some raised pots and looks like he's splashing around.

He took some time before calling on the flop.

On the river I though I might take him off some kind off a pocket pair, a jack or whatever small piece of the board he may have caught. The only thing I can se myself beating here is some kind of straight draw or some kind of ace high hand he decided to peel the flop with...

What do you think about the river? I think I represent AK pretty well...

This is interesting. If you think that a $40 is more effective than a $57 bluff, then mathematically, it's much better than the bigger bet.

I think I need to get some of this betsizing down, because in situations like these I will sometimes get looked up. So I got to make a bluff that's profitable with respect to calling frequencies.

Yeah I like.

I don't like the size of your Cbet btw. I usually make it ~$16 or something since it's a rr pot.

Very good, thanks! I can see that 4/5 pot is a bit excessive. I will keep that in mind next time I c-bet in a RR pot.
