Do other vegetarians still like the taste of meat?
I have been a vegetarian for about 6 years now. I become one because of the empathy I feel for animals, not because I don't like the taste of meat.
There are some days where it is hard to not eat meat. The smell, taste and mouth feel of beef, chicken, pork, turkey (esp. turkey), etc... are still very appealing to me. I was curious to see how many other vegetarians out there feel the same way. Only vegetarians take the poll please.

The only meat I still find appetizing after 4 years of vegetarianism is lamb when it's made into a gyro. Otherwise, meat is generally pretty gross to me now, and I used to be a really big meat-eater prior to vegetarianism.

[/ QUOTE ] Did you because a vegetarian because of increased empathy for animals or because you didn't like the taste of meat anymore?
