$114: L1 KQo in BvB line check
Haven't played with villain much, but he is a losing player. How's my line?

Re: $114: L1 KQo in BvB line check
I really don't see the need to call a 4BB preflop raise at level 1 w/o a hand you're willing to go to the felt with (AK, maybe AQ, pocket pairs). I mean with KQ you're rarely doing anything other than calling down TP or folding. (And giving villian all kinds of chances to hit stuff while you call down.) I think I'd rather call with 87s here, and I wouldn't call with that either.

We have position so anyone with half a clue how to play post flop should be calling the raise. |

Re: $114: L1 KQo in BvB line check
Who raises 4 BB preflop in a SNG at level 1 with weaker Ks and Qs? Maybe KJ/QJ, but I can't see a lot worse than that. So basically you're calling to make a little money the < 1/3 of the time you flop TP, assuming you aren't crushed. There's very little implied odds to this as I see it.
I mean you may be ahead but you're never going to find out unless you flop TP, and then you're going to be nervous the whole way if he keeps betting. I dunno, I can't totally put my finger on why I don't like this. But it just feels like the way calling stations play. |

Re: $114: L1 KQo in BvB line check
it was a strange hand due to how early in the tornament it was. I personally think you played it very well.
