Lift legs and cardio later in the day: bad?
Did morning leg (& arms) lift:
Front squat, Lunges, hip flexor lift, squat on 2 half balls. Scheduled to do 45-60 minute trail run 10 hours later (up & down hills). Is it possible to lose some of the lifting benefits? Had whey protein 30 minutes after workout and protein (tuna) for lunch and will have chicken for dinner (maybe another protein shake as well). Just a guy humping it at a normal desk job and workout 5-6 times per week. Don't want to lose benefits of lifting legs by running later that day. |

Seems fine, just make sure you eat enough.
I certainly wouldn't want to flip-flop these activities. |

Re: Lift legs and cardio later in the day: bad?
I like doing this. I don't know if it is a good idea or not. I do notice that my run times are slower-- but it's not like I'm hating it during the run or having trouble climbing or whatever-- just enough slower to notice. That said, I don't try and sustain this sort of thing week in and week out, but do it occasionally. So I'd pay attention to how well you are recovering and progressing with your lifts.

Well I would expect that yoru run times would be slower as your legs wont be fresh

Not bad. But as others have said be ready to run slower and deal with a bit of that dead leg feeling. The flip side is that when you go for the runs/race without the lift beforehand you'll feel even better.
