Default TPTK on a paired board against a monkey

Villain has is a total monkey and has a calling frequency of a 14yo girl.

We tangled lightly in a limped pot before where I bet two streets with TPGK and checked the river. He tanked for a long time and bet small to show me Ace high.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players

Stack sizes:
corsakh: $52.30
UTG+1: $75.55
CO: $49.95
Button: $71.15
SB: $56.45
BB: $58.80

Pre-flop: (6 players) corsakh is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Haha, nice

Easy call, tbh raising would cross my mind against this guy but still would likely be spew

Given your read on the guy, I'd call. But there are too many hands out there that beat you, so I wouldn't consider raising in this spot. Versus a better opponent I don't know if I'd even call in this spot. The bet looks really awkward; and versus a better opponent, or at least a tighter one that would signal to me strength.

I am curious as to why you checked the river. If villian calls everything, what about your flop and turn bets being called caused you to check on the 6. While a 6 could have hit a 78, that's about all it could have hit. I don't know why you slow down with TPTK because you are getting called by a calling station. Did you have reason to believe he would check through or that you may be beat aside from the betting?

Ugh... this would make me feel quite uncomfortable

His line is completely consistent with a 9 or 87 (or even 55/T5)

But hopefully that's not that big a part of his range so it's probably time for a crying call

Fwiw I think it's a tougher call than the previous tp hand you describe, and harder partly because of that hand

I was worried about both 9x and 76x
Villain showed QQ. Good table selection?
