Default Poker Tracker auto-rate.. what should we be?

I'm playing at a 18/9/2 over about 6.1k hands, which gives me the little bald eagle icon and tells me I'm a TA- Tight Aggressive.. However, my question is, is that a good place to be, or should I be the little money bag, which is TAA - Tight Aggressive/Aggressive? Or am I worried too much over these stats considering a) this is a minute difference b) I shouldn't play to achieve numbers c) my sample size is still too small (although i don't seem to deviate too much from these numbers over the last 2k hands or so).

precise what kind of games are you playing in... stakes? FR, 6max?
you should look forward being TAA yep. Aggression 2 is a bit low. In general good solid winners have an agression over 3, but like everything in poker, it's relative.
Also the sample is way too small. 20k is more significative i think.

Disclaimer - I'm not a pro or PT stats expert...

I think TA is good for the low stakes. In those games you should just play straightforward and not be making moves. It's the lack of move making that you wouldn't be TA/A I think.

However, I think 18/9 may be a little too low. I run pretty well at the low stakes at somewhere around 20-25/15. As a general rule 2+2ers like that your PFR be AT LEAST half of your VPIP (which you do have going on for you) but most like it a little higher.

Most players do not use auto ratings. Many find it more beenficial to just display 6-8 key stats.

I agree, you should pay less attention to the icons and more to what they actually mean. However if you are playing full ring NL games then there is a good set of rules here: http://www.andymcnish.btinternet.co.uk/newauto.htm

The table listed there gives different categories of players than the default PT autorate but it says that a tight-aggresive player should average ~3.6PTBB/100, an Ultra Aggresor (i am rated as this or sLA) avgs ~6.3PTBB/100 and fwiw i've been playing @ 25/8/2.6
